This class aims to introduce student engineers to company management.

The module will enable them to :
- Acquire the basic understanding of a business in its economic, financial and human environment.
- Learn how to use office equipment of the type currently used in business which will be made available by the school.

The course specifically addresses the aspects of corporate human resource management, financial analysis, national accounting systems and office automation. The principles addressed in this course logically culminate with work placement experience.

 

- The notion of company : economic or legal classifications, production unit of possessions and value, its environment.
- The organizational structures : essential functions (production, sale, supply, financial control, human resources), influence on the structures (size, strategy, technology, environment and ulture).
- The organization of the work and the animation of the people in the organization : Taylor and the Scientific management, school of the human relations, crises of the taylorisme and emergence of a new model.
- The knowledge of the market and the strategy of the company : notion of market, politics of product (range of product, cycle of life), pricing policy, competition.
